Yellow Travel Limited Excited to Learn of Monarch’s New Summer 2017 Flights at Birmingham Airport

Yellow Travel Limited, the top provider of taxis from Birmingham Airport celebrating 22 years in business in the West Midlands in 2017, has broadly welcomed Monarch’s continued commitment to the West Midlands with news of new summer flights to Porto next year.

Monarch, as a top U.K. independent airline group providing much-needed employment across a number of aviation sectors in our local area, has officially announced the inclusion of Porto to its extensive network of fashionable destinations for Summer 2017 from the local international hub.

We’re delighted to be announcing Porto as our latest addition to the network from Birmingham Airport. This new route joins Stockholm as an exciting new destination for our customers to visit in summer 2017,” explained, Marjan Schoeke, Head of Network Development, Monarch. “The announcement of flights to Porto from Birmingham follow on from a successful launch of the route from other bases back in September. It’s the ideal destination for those looking to book the perfect city break.”

“It’s excellent news to see Monarch introducing another popular destination to their choice of routes from Birmingham Airport,” expressed, Paul Kehoe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Birmingham Airport. “Porto’s a vibrant city with a fascinating history, interesting tourist attractions and great nightlife and so it’ll appeal to a wide range of our passengers and we’re sure it’ll be a popular summer route.”

This hot new Portuguese route joins the Swedish capital of Stockholm as new destinations for the summer schedule. The flights to Porto from Birmingham commence on Friday, April 28th, 2017 and will operate 3 times per week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The city of Porto is a hugely popular destination and is now the 4th Portuguese destination on the Monarch roster, along with Lisbon, which was introduced last summer, Faro and Funchal in Madeira. Renowned of course for its port wine and architecture, the stunning coastal city is situated in the scenic north-west of the country. Bookings were brisk from when they were first opened on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016. We very much look forward to meeting the needs of passengers with a first choice taxi from Birmingham airport.
