Yellow Travel Limited, the top provider of taxis from Birmingham Airport celebrating 22 years in business in the West Midlands, has thanked the popular German airline Eurowings for establishing a strategic new route to Vienna from our local international hub from March.

Starting on Sunday, March 26th, 2017, the low-cost airline will serve the Capital of Austria particularly renowned for its links to classical music greats Mozart and Beethoven. The flights will run 6 times weekly in addition to the airline’s Hamburg and Düsseldorf services.

“We are pleased to announce a new Birmingham link to Vienna,” commented, Ivan Orec, Manager, Network Development and Airport Relations, Eurowings. “The new route will operate 6 times a week from the end of March 2017, in addition to our 18 weekly services to Düsseldorf and 3 weekly services to Hamburg. We’ll continue to grow our network and bring more passengers through Birmingham Airport.”

“Eurowings is an important partner of Birmingham Airport as it already serves 2 routes to Düsseldorf and Hamburg which are hugely important to the Midlands engine and the region’s leisure market,” stated, William Pearson, Aviation Director, Birmingham Airport. “We’re therefore very pleased that the airline will be launching a brand new route from Birmingham to Vienna this summer. I’m sure that it will be welcomed by customers looking for somewhere exciting to explore for leisure, as well as offering a convenient schedule for passengers travelling on business.”

A part of the giant Lufthansa global airline, Eurowings has its headquarters in Cologne where it coordinates it short-haul and some long-haul destinations. Birmingham Airport has become a vital component in the rapid rise in bookings at the European carrier. The new flights will be on Airbus A320 planes with 180 passengers on board.
